The ruins of Minoutani-jyou/castle are located on the mountain at the east-southeast of 839 Minoutani-Daisi It is said that the lord of the castle was Kosirou Takami who was a vassal of Matuda clan Because Gen-uemon Takami who was a relative of Kosirou, lived in Hukuyama-jyou and the all neighboring castles were belonged to Kokura-jyou side, and it is lack convincing that Matuda’s territory was in the Kokura side’s territory as a outland, Koshiro Takami is judged to be a general of Kokura’s side ”side of Hisataka Iga” Because in that time Kokura-jyou which Hisataka Iga lived in, was a branch castle of Kanagawa-jyou which Mototeru Matuda lived in , It is not a mistake necessarily that Kosirou Takami regard as a vassal of Matuda clan
If you go from the Ho-no-Ikaduti-jinjya/shrine toward the shrine gate, there is a parking are on left side, proceed the mountain path from the parking area If you go along the mountain path on the ridge steadily, you will reach the first top of the mountain If you go down a little from the peak toward the end of left side-flat lands which seem the abandoned farmlands, you will reach few steps of flat lands on right side If you go a little further, you will reach to the second peak There are several flat lands on the peak, the trace which seems to be an dry moat was buried with the deposits It is said that there are several stone walls and one dry moat in Minoutani-jyou/castle, but the stone wall was not found Some people said that Kobans "a former Japanese oval gold coin" and tiles were excavated If you go down further, you will reach the place where the hole which seems to be the mine site, was buried with sediments and stones A tunnel on the east side is loaded with excavated stones, and several flat lands overlap
Shows you the another route how to go there If you go about 120m along the mountain path from the Ho-no-Ikaduti-jinjy “karai-jinjy” toward the north, there is a branch which runs to the northwest at 34 degrees 53 minutes 5 seconds north latitude and 133 degrees 46 minutes58 seconds east longitude where is the corner of abandoned arable land If you do not choose the branch to the northwest, and go the path about 45m to the south-southwest, there is a pedestal arranged with stones which the Marisi-ten ”goddess of war” was enshrined at 34 degrees 53 minutes 3 second north latitude and 133 degrees 46 minutes 57 seconds east longitude If you go down about 180m to the south along the ridge, the your path joined the mountain way which diverges to the northwest a little while ago, you will reach five forks path where a Rin-tou “a memorial tower stacked vertically with stones containing round stones” is enshrined If you procced the path to the southwest along the west side of the top, you will reach to the flat lands where the abandoned copper mines are located If you climb about 30m to the south from the five forks path, proceed about 60m west along the contour line and go about 60m to the southwest along the ridge which climb toward the top, you will reach the narrow flat lands from north to south on the top
「岡山県加賀郡吉備中央町のお城一覧(城郭放浪記) www.hb.pei.jp/shiro/okayama/?c=kibichuo」 Minoutani- Higashi -Kouminkan “Public hall“ is located at 34 degrees 53 minutes 7 seconds north latitude and 133 degrees 46 minutes 38 seconds east longitude where is the northeast side of 73 Minoutani-Myouken It is written in 「List of castles in Kibityuuou-tyou "Castle Wandering Record"」 that Minoutani- Higashi-Kouminkan is ruins of the main closure of Minoutani-jyou/castle However, there is a public hall which seem a shrine surrounded by trees in this place, but because this place is just shaved and flattened and there are no facilities for defense against enemy, I think it is not the ruins of the mountain castle However, the three villagers told me that, this place is the ruins of branch castle of Minoutani-jyou Because the structure is too defenseless as the main residence of Minoutani-jyou, It must have been a temporary gathering of troops 火雷神社:上田西158番地 北緯34度53分09秒・東経133度47分10秒 城山:上田西2・22番地等 城山:三納谷61・87番地等 城山:三納谷1167・1173番地等 金山:三納谷84・164番地等 高見:三納谷130・193番地等 大師:三納谷792・842番地等 平成23年(2011年)10月7日
