左の写真は 伊達弾正屋敷・北畝ノ前1921番地付近から 大和山を 望んげいます。中央の山が 大和山で 頂上に アメダス 等が 有ります。寿永年間（1182年～1183年）土肥寶平Doi-Sanehiraが  備中國の守護で、末裔の頼母頼秀Tanomo-Yorihideの時 毛利方の味方をしました。土井實平は 源頼朝の重臣で 梶原景時に 並び 両者は 平家追討の折に 押領使 勧農使として働き、後に 播磨国 美作 備前 備中 備後の守護となりました。備中村鑑に「喜村山城 圚村 土井次郎実平」と あると言われます。 喜村山城は 総社市にあります。土井頼秀は 天正２年（1574年）５月、松山城の臥牛山天神丸の戦いで 功績が揚げました。

大和山城城主で 備中守護職を務めた 土肥頼母が 長禄２年（1458年）に 伊予の大三島大明神 等（大山祇命Ooyama-tumi-no-mikoto 猿田彦命Saruta-hiko-no-mikoto 倉稲魂命Uka-no-mitama-no-mikoto 火産霊神Ho-musubi-no-mikoto）を 大和山山頂に 勧請し、参詣が不便であるとして 大永元年（1521年）に 現在地の大和山神社に 遷宮されました。大和佐山城は 道の駅「かよう」の北西の標高６０８ｍの 大和山山頂に 築かれていました。現在 大和山の西側は 無線中継施設や 雨量観測所等が 作られ、元の地形の姿はありません。山頂一帯は 自然地形で 山城跡と思われるような 遺構は 確認できませんでした。城地の広さは 東西約７３０m×南北約３７０mと 推測されます。 Another name for Oowasayama-jyou/castle is Oowasan-jyou    The ruins of Oowasayama-jyou is on the top of Oowa-san/mountain “N34.49.28・E133.41.35”     After Sanehira Doi who was a chief vassal of Minamoto-no-Yoritomo, joined the army to hunt down and kill the Heike family as a retainer of Minamoto-no-Yositune together Kagetoki Kajiwara during Itinotani-no-kassen/battle and won, Sanehira Doi became Syugo-sikis ”local governs” of Bizen, Bittyu and Bingo provinces and Kagatoki Kajiwara became Syugo-sikis of Harima and Mimasaka provinces subsequently    Yorihide Tanomo Doi who was a descendant of Sanehira Doi and was the lord of Oowasayama-jyou & Governor of Bittyuu province, supported Mouri clan at Matuyama-jyou-Gagyu-zan-Tenjin-maru battle “Bityu-heiran ” in 1574, and he rendered distinguished military service    Oomisima-daimyoujin was transferred to the top of Oowa-san in 1458 by Yorihide Tanomo Doi and it was transferred to the present place in 1521    Since the radio relay station, rain-gauge station and so on was built on the west side of the top of Oowa-san/mountain, so the original  geographical features had lost   The mountain top area is natural terrain, I can't confirm the remains that seem to be the ruins of the mountain castle

かつては 龍王神社が 鎮座していたと 言われます。龍王の泉は 今もあると言われますが、頂上付近に泉の跡があるだけです。堀口正志氏の建てた記念碑が あります。碑には「大蛇住むゆえに湧くと言う峰の清水」の句が 記されています。道の駅「かよう」から 道標に従い、登山道を進むと 辿り着きますが、車で 山上まで行く事ができます。   It is said that Ryuou-jinjjya/shrine used to be enshrined on the top of Oowa-san/mountain　It is said that there is still a Ryuuou-no-izumi “King-of-dragon's fountain“, but there is only a small the spring hanging Simenawa "a decoration of sacred straw rope across the saint place" near the top　There is a monument built by Mr. Masahi Horiguti　The monument contains the phrase "Fresh water of the peak springs out, because a large snake lives in here"  If you climb the mountain trail according to the guidepost from the Miti-no-eki-Kayou ”Kayou-roadside station", you will arrive to the mountain top, you can go up the mountain top by car too    道の駅「かよう」：北緯34度49分1秒・東経133度42分18秒　大和山：北５１・２３２－２４３番地    的場：納地５４６（北緯34度49分27秒・東経133度421分29秒）５４９・ ５５１・５５２番地　出張：納地５５７・５５９番地　的場ノ下：納地３０６番地　的場マヘ：納地５６４番地　開ノ鼻：納地８３９－８４１番地　大倉：納地８５４・８５７・８５８番地　「納地５５７番地：出張　納地５４６番地：的場　納地８３９番地：ひらき　納地８５４番地：大倉の地名が残っています」と賀陽町の城跡の矢倉城の項に示されていますが、これ等の地名は大和山に近い所に位置します。    平成２４年（２０１２年）４月１１日
