竹部中寄nakayori田元1491番地に向け 南西から 伸びた尾根の先端の小山 北緯34度49分54秒・東経133度47分23秒が「山崎城跡」です。加地尊覚入道が 初代城主です。応永２年 1395年（または３年・1396年）の頃は 乗木山妙福寺は 禅僧寺でした。３代目の加地尊弥が 永禄７年（1574年）妙福寺を 日蓮宗に 改宗しました。加地尊堂加地 尊公 加地尊祐 浄円が 山崎譲の城主を務めたとの記録が残ります。いずれの城主も 退役後 妙福寺の住職になっています。「加茂川町の山城」 ４８４号線の中橋より 南方を望んでいます。正面の山が 北側の頂です。中橋の川よりに 地神と 背の高い題目碑があり、この上流の橋を渡り、南西に １５０m程 加茂川に沿って 山道を進み T字路 から 南東に向き９０m程登山し T字路を北東に３０m程 進むと 南側の山の頂上に至ります。

障壁とその左下の井戸跡らしい窪み  右手の一段下の平坦地 摩利支天王神を祀る平坦地 片側だけが 掘られた浅い空堀 やや高い障壁の上の小さい平坦地 空堀を経由して９０m程尾根に沿って下ると 二つの峰を 分ける鞍状地が 浅い空堀になっています。鞍状地を 東西方向から見ると 峠になっています。そのまま北に ９０m程進むと 南側の頂上より低い 北側の頂上に至ります。峠から 北に 尾根沿いに向かうと 浅い空堀と大変深い空堀（堀岸）が有り、 深い空堀を超えると 高台があります。高台は かなり広い平坦地で 南端に忠魂碑が 立ちます。忠魂碑の土台は 崩れかけ 藪Yabuに成ろうとしています。

見方を変えて 説明すると 山崎城は 加茂川の南岸 の尾根に位置します。即ち 南奥池から 北に延びる 標高約 ２００ ｍ 麓からの高さ約 ２０ ｍの丘陵の端部に 立地 します。加茂川沿いの北側の中寄 東側の乗木 西の側の田内の眺望に 適しています。 城域は 東西が約７０ｍ 南北が 約 １２０ ｍで 中規模と言っても  広さは小さい方です。丘陵の北端には 約４５ ｍ×約 １７ ｍの主郭と思われる 深い切岸を 伴う曲輪があります。その曲輪の北西の端に 約７ｍ×約7ｍの 方形型をした高みが 造られています。南側の尾根筋に沿って 小さな曲輪を 中にしながら ４条の堀切 が 連続するように 作られています。特にその中でも 北端の 堀切は 特別に規模が大きく その幅は１０ ｍ程もある深い堀切 で、尾根を南西から 北東に分断させています。上加茂合戦に 山崎城は 登場しません。　 

  The ruins of Yamazaki-jyou/castle are located on the small mountain where is the edge of the ridge where extended toward the 2491 Takebe-Tamoto-Nakayori from the southwest   It is composed of two peaks which are  the southern mountain peak and the northern hill in the tip of the ridge　 The first lord of this castle was Sonkaku-nyuudou Kaji who is the  third monk “nyuudou” of Myouhuku-ji/temple in 1395   They are on record that Sondou, Sonkou, Sonyuu and Jyouen kept the castle as the lord and all lords became the chief priest of Myouhuku-ji after retire from the post   There is a monument of Ji-jin and a tall Daimoku-hi “stone monument which was carved on the face 南無妙法蓮華経：Namu-Myouhou-Renge-kyou：the Nichiren chant" on the river side at sako-basi/bridgh    If you cross this upstream bridge, and go the mountain path about 150m toward the southwest along Kamo-gawa/river, there is a T-junction   If you climbs about 90m toward the southeast from the T-shaped path, there is a 2nd T-shaped path, and go toward the northwest about 30m & to northeast from the 2nd T-shaped path , you reach the top of the mountain on the south side  If you go down along the ridge about 90m via a  artificial cliff, a recess which seems to be the well mark in the lower left, a flat land one step down the right hand, a flat land enshrined the Marisi-tenou "godess of war", a shallow dry moat dug only on one side, a small flat above a slightly higher barrier and a dry moat, you will reach a shallow empty moat in the saddle-shaped ground that divides the two peaks   If you look at the saddle-like land from the east-west direction, it becomes a pass   If you go about 90m toward the north on the way, you will　reach the summit on the north side, which is lower than the summit on the south side    If you go along the ridge from the pass toward the north, there are a shallow dry moat and a very deep dry moat (Horigisi)　If you go beyond the deep dry moat, there is a height 　The height is quite wide flat land. and the monument of soul at the southern end of the height   The foundation is about to collapse and the height is about to become a bush      中橋：北緯34度49分44秒・東経133度47分5秒    車谷：竹部３４７番地等    鞍掛：竹部３５５－３５７番地    城山：竹部４２０－４２３・８２６番地    山崎：竹部４２４－４２５番地　矢ノ窪：竹部５２９・５３３番地    納城：竹部４６０（北緯34度49分55秒・東経133度47分30秒）・４６７番地    勝負坂：竹部６３５・６３７－６３９番地 戦闘に関わるのでなく 砂鉄又は銅に関わる地名でしょう   美民城：竹部７４７－７６９番地 山城に関わるのでなく 真っ白（作物が育たない無価値）に関 わる地名でしょう  美民は佳語で、真意は非美民かもしれません    乗木山：竹部１００９番地（北緯34度50分7秒・東経133度47分37秒）等    馬場：竹部１０３５（北緯34度50分4秒・東経133度47分35秒 天神社）・ １０９０（北緯34度49分59秒・東経133度47分30秒）・１０９６番地（北緯34度50分0秒・東 経133度47分31秒）等 　平成２４年（２０１２年）３月２７日
