「大原城跡」は 黒土宗金munekane大原3214番地の南の山（標高約３２０m  高さ約７０m） 北緯34度51分24秒・東経133度43分47秒辺りです。城域は 東西約１５０m×南北約２００mです。主郭の曲輪を山頂部に設け、そこから 北側に延びる尾根筋を 段段に切り 平坦地を並べています。宇甘川の流れる北側谷部に向いて 守りを固めています。大原山の 最頂部に幅 20 ～ 30 ｍの主郭と思われる 周囲が高い切岸となっている曲輪があります。主郭の曲輪には 東側と西側に 横矢掛けのような張り出しがあります。主郭の曲輪の南西側に 堀切 があり、その南西側に 区の「くの字」型の曲輪を 造成してあります。山頂部から 北側に 北東に北北西に向い４本の尾根が延びています。北北西に延びる３本の尾根には 傾斜を利用して それぞれ４～５段の曲輪が 設けられています。最西側の尾根の西辺を 土 塁状に掘り残す 曲輪が２面あり、尾根を割くように堀切があります。東隣の小規模な尾根にも数面の 曲輪が 段を成して作られています。「くの字型の曲輪」の北の谷奥に円形状の窪みがあります。汲川だったのでしょうか。「くの字型の曲輪の南側の下段には 土 塁があります。土塁の東の浅い谷の斜面には 竪堀群らしき構造をみます。

 築城は伊賀河内守頼氏の弟 田土神原家の祖 伊賀出雲守光昌の手によります。城主は 神原備中守益信 神原右京(益信の子)  伊賀市兵衛(右京の子) 神原惣右衛門(市兵衛の子)等です 上房郡誌には 城主として疋田右衛門元久（雲州尼子氏配下） 神原宮内少輔隆好越中（天正の頃）の名もあります。出雲の尼子氏の配下の疋田右衛門元久の父は 十郎左衛門で 天文元年（1532年）隠岐合戦で 武勲を挙げています「上房郡史」。   吉備中央町の「旧賀陽町のはなし」によれば「虎倉城の伊賀氏は 旧賀陽町の半ばを領し、各地に支城を置きましが、丸山城（吉川小茂田の館城 北緯34度49分54秒・東経133度45分1秒付近）もその一つです。丸山城には 当初虎倉城主(伊賀兵庫守幸隆)の弟 伊賀久治が 居城していましたが、後に 久治は 田土の大原城に移り、子の刑部が 吉川姓を名乗って 丸山城に留まりました。丸山城は 県道吉川槙谷線（３０７号線）のすぐ側の小さな丘ですが あまり目立たず、近くで畑を耕しいたお年寄りにお尋ねして 丸山城とようやく解ったそうです」と あります。前述のように 大原城は 伊賀河内守頼氏の弟の伊賀出雲守光昌が 備中の押さえとして 大原に移り 築城した事に 始まります。神原備中を名乗るようになった頃は 虎倉城の重臣でしたが「出雲はすでに老いており、備中川上大幡山（八幡山かも知れない）にて 芸州と共に 討ち死にした」と の事です「虎倉城・伊賀一族：仁熊八郎」。虎倉記にも「伊賀左衛門殿御盃の次第に 一に土井下総 二に鶴旨Turumune/Turumine三郎兵衛 三に神原備中」と有り、伊賀出雲守光昌は 伊賀久隆の重臣と思われますが「伊賀出雲守光昌は 備中川上（高梁市）の大幡山戦で老いの為、機敏に戦えず討ち死にし、この戦いでは 毛利軍は 敗戦したとされます。天正８年（1580年）の上加茂合戦の時に 神原備中は 旗本約１２００名（異説あり）を率い 上加茂の八幡山（上加茂原・北緯34度51分16秒・東経133度48分27秒）に 出陣していて、神原右京は 藤沢城付近まで攻め込み 鉄砲で戦い 敵の将を討取り 感状を受けたとされます。 伊賀出雲守の子が 伊賀備中守益信で、 孫が 伊賀右京で、 曾孫が 伊賀市兵衛で、 曾曾孫が 伊賀惣右衛門です。伊賀右京の兄弟は 伊賀越中（神原宮内少輔） 神原六郎右衛門 伊賀吉川刑部です。また 神原惣右衛門は 足を痛めて歩けなくなったので、旗本に「罷在りMakari-ari」と 言って、主人の御秘蔵の鹿毛の馬を 貰いました「虎倉城・伊賀一族：仁熊八郎」。伊賀伊賀守家久の幼い弟の太郎次郎は 神原氏の祖の神原太郎右衛門久良であると されています。伊賀伊賀守家久が 備中に落ち延びる時、神原惣右衛門に 太郎次郎を預けました。湯山横部に 太郎次郎の城を築こうと計画し、小谷城の森大蔵に 換え地を示し 城を明け渡すよう要請しましたが、森大蔵は 快い返答を 拒みました。神原惣右衛門は「主君の恩を忘れたか 不忠者め」と 怒り捲り、小谷城を 攻め落とし 森氏を悉く滅ばし、ここに 城を新築し 伊賀久隆の子の太郎次郎の居城としました「湯山の村人口伝」。  The ruins of Oohara-jyou/castle are located on the southern mountain of 3214 Kurotuti-Oohara “N34.51.24 E133.43.47”　 Mitumasa Izumo-no-kami Iga who was a brother of Yoriuji Kawati-no-kami Iga and the originator of Tado-Koubara family, built the castle    The lords of the castle were Masunobu Bittyuu-no-kami Koubara, Ukyou Koubara, Sou-uemon Koubara and so on    It is written in Jyoubou-gun-si “history of Jyoubou-country” that 「the lords of the castle were Motohisa-uemon Hikita who was Izumo-Amago clan's follower, and Ettyuu-Takayosi Gunai-syouyuu Koubara」    It is written in「Kyuu-Kayou-tyou no Hanasi “story of old Kayou-tyou/town” that 「Iga clan who was lord of Kokura-jyou possessed half of old Kayou-tyou town , build the branch castles on every place, Maruyama-jyou was one of that 　Hisaharu Iga “Mitumasa Izumo-no-kami Iga, Bityyuu Koubara” who was a brother of the lord “Yoriuji Kawati-no-kami Iga” of Kokura-jyou and lived in Kokura-jyou at first, moved to Oohara-jyou in Tado, and Gyoubu who was a son of Hisaharu, gave himself family name of Yosikawa and lived in Maruyama-jyou」 It is written in Kokura-ki “Kokura-jyou-biography” that 「Simofusa Doi was first, Saburobei Turumine was second and Koubara Bittyuu “Mitumasa Izumo-no-kami Iga” was third out of all of the important subordinates who exchanged cups of sake as a pledge of the relationship of master and servant with Hisataka Saemonn-no-jyou Iga, Mitumasa Iga was killed at Oohatayama-sen/battle in Bittyuu-Kawakami “Takahasisi city” because he was too old to take quick action    It was said that Mouri army defeat in this war」 Izumo-no-kami Iga’s son was Masunobu-Bittyuu-no-kami Iga, his grandson was Ukyou Iga, his great‐grandson was Iti-bei Iga and his great-great-grandson was Sou-emon Iga    The brother of Ukyo Iga were Etyuu Iga “Kunai-syouyuu koubara”, Rokurou-uemon Koubara and Gyoubu Yosikawa    Sou-uemon Koubara hurt his leg and was not able to walk, so he asked to the Hatamoto “direct subordinate who escort the lord in the battle field” and got a brown haired horse of the lord's treasured during kamigamo-gassen/battle in 1580    It is said that Tarou-Jirou Iga who was the very young brother of Iehisa Iga, was Yosihiha Tarou-uemon Koubara who was the founder of Koubara clan in Tado    When Iehisa IgaI departed for Suou & Nagato province from Yosikawa Bittyuu province, Iehisa Iga left Tarou-JIrou in Sou-uemon Koubara's care    Sou-uemon planned to build the castle for Tarou-Jirou in Yuyama-Yokobe, Sou-uemon showed Ookura Mori "the lord of Kotani-jyou and a vassal of the Hisataka Iga who was Iehisa's father" the replacement ground and Sou-uemon asked Ookura mori to present the castle to Tarou-JIrou     Ookura Mori refused a pleasant answer　Sou-uemon Koubara was angry, saying "Have you forgotten the lord's kindness?    what unfaithful！“, and attacked &  captured Kotani-jyou/castle & destroyed Mori clan entirely    He built the new castle here, and made the castle Tarou-Jirou’s residence-castle

高梁御津線（３１号線）の下田土バス亭と 宗金バス停の中間に 宗金公会堂が建ち、この地点から 南に下る道が有ります。それを進むと ２股に分岐するので 右の道を選ぶと、田土大原3214番地に出ます。その北側の山が 大原城跡の山です。田土大原3214番地の手前から  奥の山に向かう道に入ると 墓地が在り、山道を西に 山を迂回するように進むと  一回りした地点で 城地に入ります。平坦地が ５層程並びます。最上段の狭い平坦地には 穴が有り、平坦地は 上に行く程狭くなります。その高い崖の上が 広い平坦地となり、眼通し２５ｍ×３５ｍ 程の広さです。

大原城跡には 西北に深く幅広い空堀が 有り、空堀は 登り道となっています。空堀を 越えて西北に 目通し１０ｍ×３０ｍ位の 南西に凹む三日月状の平坦地が あります。山頂に 大小７個の平坦地が有り、処々に基礎石が 列をなします。南に井戸跡があります。   Munekane public hall is built at the middle point of the Shimotada-bus stop and Munekane- bus stop on Route 31 and there is a road which descend toward the south from this point    Because the road divides into two branches, choose the right way, you will reach to 3214 Tado-Oohara　The mountain on the north side is the ruins of Oohara-jyou/castle-mountain    When you choose and go the way toward the mountain in the back from the front of 3214 Tado, there is a cemetery    If you take a detour toward the west along the mountain path, you will reach the ruins of castle area at the point where you go around once    The flat land is lined up about five layers    There is a hole in the narrowest flat land of the uppermost , and the flat lands are narrow as those are go up    The top of the high cliff which is the adjoining land of the five-tiered flat lands, is a wide flat land of about 25m x 35m in size when is measured with my eyes    There is a wide & deep dry moat that extends to northwest, in the ruins of Ohara-jyou and the dry-moat is a climbing path　If you cross the dry moat, you will see in northwest a crescent-shaped flat land of about 10m x 30m in size on the northwest, the crescent-shaped flat land  dent toward the southwest    There are seven flat lands, large and small, on the top of the mountain, the foundation stones form a line　There is a well mark on the south   宗金公会堂：北緯34度51分35秒・東経133度43分45秒　ココロ家ノ上：田土２８９５・２８９９番地等　大原：田土 ３１６１・３１８１番地等　大原口：田土３２０１番地　小丸山：田土３２２３番地　城東：田土３２２８－３２３０番地　城山：田土３２３１・３２３５番地　城乢：田土32393272・３２７２番地等　トヒガス：田土３２５３・３２５５番地　ココ路：田土３３６７・３４６１番地等　コ々ロ南：田土３３７５・３３７６番地 　　平成２４年（２０１２年）４月１日
