櫻坂城 櫻迫城 作迫坂城とも 書かれます。田土下田土simotado宗兼の中屋後2801番地から 北方へ 約３００ｍ登った裏山が 櫻坂城山で 北緯34度51分45秒・東経133度43分57秒辺りが「桜坂城跡」です。山頂が 平坦地になっている位で 戦国時代の山城のような 複雑な 遺構は ありません。付近に 古墳があります。古龕搭Hurugan-tou一基で 天文２年（1533年）と 刻まれた自然石です。南北朝時代に 下左衛門尉政勝が 塞柵を造り城主となっていて、政勝は 北条氏方に属していました。しかし建武２年（1335年）霜月に 山門（足利軍が京都に進軍すると後醍醐天皇は比叡山に逃げて抵抗）から戻った後醍醐天皇の花山院に還幸Kankou（天皇や神が帰る事 戦い不利で和睦し花月院に幽閉）の時に 皇居の警護に 当たりますが、吉野に 潜幸（犯罪者が忍んで隠れる：南朝を立ち上げ北朝に抵抗）した後、重禍を取行すれば（戦いの半ばで後醍醐天皇病気に成り、吉野へ戻っていた義良親王 即ち 後の村上天皇に譲位し、翌日、吉野金輪王寺で 朝敵討滅と 京都奪回を遺言して崩御）その事に不満を持ち、国に駆け帰り官軍（北朝）に 加わり、即ち北条氏に帰属しました。元亀2年（1571年）杉山城（麓城）の戦いで 細川通薫に 福井孫左衛門と 共に討ち取られた 尼子式部・大賀駿河守・宇喜多直家同盟方の 津々加賀守が 城主とも言われますが 信じられないと言う者がいます。「上房郡史」　３１号線の下田土バス停の北側に 案内板が立っていて、そこより北に進み そして東に進むと Ｔ字路があるので 左に曲がると 田土中屋後2801番地に出ます。The mountain where climb about 300m toward the north from 2801 Simo-tado-Munekane-Nakaya-usiro, is the ruins of Sakurazako-jyou/castle   There is only a flat land on top of the mountain ,so the structure of ruins of the castle were far from the mountain castle of the warring states period    There is an old tomb in the vicinity　Masakatu Simo-zaemon who belonged to the Houjou clan "northern Dynasty's side" of Ｍuromati shogunate, he built a block-fence and became the lord of the castle    However, in 1335, when Go-Daigo-tennou/emperor “Southern Dynasty” returned to Hanayama-in , he guarded the Imperial Palace, but he had dissatisfaction and joined the government army “northern Dynasty” later

下田土宗兼２８０１番地の裏側の山道を ジグザグに登ると 大山大智明権現（文化六寅子四月廾四日 大山大智明大権現 下田土講中北緯34度51分39秒・東経133度44分4秒と想像する位置）の石碑が  左手に立っています。この辺りから 登山道は 空堀の底の様相を呈してきます。石垣で 作られた門状の地を越えると 休耕地と思われる石垣を 伴う平坦地が並びます。更に進むと 左手平坦地に 山岳信仰の岩王山伝常寺（北緯34度34度51分4秒・東経133度43分59秒と予測する位置）の小寺が 建っています。堂内には 法螺貝、役の小角（山上大権現）の像らしき仏像が 祀らとれています。更に登ると 峠に出ます。ここまでに幾つもの耕作地跡と思われる平坦地が 登山道の右手に並びます。

峠の右手に 幾つかの平坦地が有りますが 右手の頂上は 自然の山です。 しかし 頂上付近に 自然の配置か 人工的に配置された物かどうかは 解らない岩群が有ります。左手に登ると 数段の平坦地があります。頂上の曲輪はかなり広く、土塁や犬走りらしき構造を認め 平坦地の南側に墓地が有ります。頂上に立ってみると 周囲は 付近の山に囲まれ 眺望は悪く 街道を見渡せません。ここが 城地であれば、敵の侵攻を余裕をもって察知する事が出来難い筈ですので この地は主郭でないと判断しました。後に登城の中継地と判りました。

さて、大智明権現碑のある山道を 北に向って登ると 突然に耕作地跡と思われる平坦地が右側に並び、東に曲がると 石垣で支えられた平坦地が有り、右上に 石垣で囲まれた方形地が有ります。その上に ２段の高い障壁に守られた 帯曲輪と平坦地が有り 頂上と成ります。頂上の平坦地は ほぼ円形をしていて、あらゆる方向は 崖となっています。西に向かう尾根に 山道が続いているので進む と伝常寺から登って来た峠と推測する地点に出ます。右手に 墓場を見ながら東に進むと ２番目の広い平坦地に出ます。ここ 北緯34度51分46秒・東経133度43分58秒と予測する所が 城地と 推測します。伝常寺から 北西北に４５m程登ると 左手に 略南に向く分岐が有るので ４０m程進むと 墓場があります。墓場の東の山道を 北西に１２０m程進むと 前述の城域と思われる平坦地に 辿り着きます。

周囲は 低い崖で囲まれています。更に東に進むと 細く浅い空堀状構造が有り、３番目の平坦地に出ます。この平坦地には 方形の石垣に囲まれた 僧侶のものと思われる供養塔が有り 寺の跡と思われます。 If you climb the mountain path at behind 2801 Tado, you will find a stone monument of Daitimyou-gongen  on your left     The mountain trail shows the appearance of the bottom of the dry moat from this vicinity    If you cross the gate-shaped-structure made with stone walls, you will find flat lands that appear to be abandoned rice fields with stone walls    If you go further, you will find a small temple named Iwaouzan-Denjyou-ji/temple for mountain worship on the flat land of left-hand-side    A statue of Buddha seemed En-no-Oduno is enshrined and conch-shell horn was dedicated in the hall　If you climb further, you will reach to a pass    The flat lands which seems to be ruins of abandoned cultivated land are lined up on the right of the mountain trail up to this point    There are some flat lands on the right hand side of the pass, but the peak on the right side is a natural mountain    However, there are rocks near the top that we don't know if they are arranged naturally or artificially   If you climb toward the left, there are several flat lands    The Kuruwa “enclosure” at the peak was quite wide, and there are the structure of the earth-wall and the berm-line     I found out later that those were the relay-place for the climb    Go back to the original place where the Daitimyou-gongen is enshrined, and climb the mountain path toward the north,  you will find suddenly the flat lands which seems the ruins of abandoned cultivated land which line up on the right side    If you turn toward the east, there are flat lands supported by a stone wall and there is a square ground surrounded by a stone wall in the upper right    On the upper side of that “the first peak of the mountain”, there is a belt like enclosure and a flat land protected by a high barrier of two steps, and the flat land is the peak    The flat land at the peak is almost circular, and the every directions are cliffs    Because the mountain path continues to the ridge which run to the east direction, if you go along the path, you will reach to the mountain pass where is guessed the pass where you climbed from Denjyou-ji   If you  go toward the east while looking on your right, you will reach the wide flat land on second peak    The flat land is surrounded by low cliffs   If you  go further toward  the east, there is a thin and shallow dry moat-like-structure, and you will reach to a flat land on third peak    There is a memorial tower which seems to be for the monk, surrounded by the square stone wall in this flat ground, there seems to be ruins of the temple probably   第１の平坦地・桜坂城跡：北緯34度51分45秒・東経133度44分5秒　第２の平坦地・高く見張りの砦山と 思われる山：山深いので位置は 性格でありませんが 北緯34度51分46秒・東経133度43分58秒と推測します。　第３の平坦地：北緯34度51分44秒・東経133度44分4秒と推測　桜坂・櫻坂・サクラ坂：田土２８０１（北緯34度51分36秒・東経133度44分5秒）・２８２９－２８４６番地　小丸田：田土２３１０番地　小々路：田土２４４６・２７４２・２８７６・２８７９－２８８４番地 　 平成２４年（２０１２年）３月２９日
