鳥羽城は 的山城とも呼ばれます。黒土辻屋敷1545番地の東 約900ｍの孤立した山　即ち 北緯34度51分17秒・東経133度42分14秒付近が「鳥羽城跡」です。上竹納地の矢倉 北緯34度50分38秒・東経33度41分37秒の矢倉城の出城とされます。鳥羽山と 矢倉山の中間点 北緯34度50分50秒・東経133度41分53秒の秋葉山も 城山と 村人は言いますが、秋葉山には 城跡らしき遺構はありませんでした。昔、弓の達人が 辻屋敷（黒土辻屋敷1543番地）から この鳥羽山に向け 遠射の練習をしたと言う伝説が 残るので 的山とも呼ばれます。

北方正面と 東西は 断崖です。南方は 矢倉城に続いています。水道施設から 入り口の道が 有ります。入り口を入ると いきなり低い石垣の平坦地が有り、その奥は 墓場です。城地は 北西から南東に広がり、次に３ｍ位の段を持つ 頂上の曲輪・平坦地が有ります。南に ２枚の余り広くない平坦地が 下り、そこより 右手下に 平坦地を伴う細い道状の平坦地となり、その奥に 空堀があります。空堀の北は 広い平坦地で、中央に 小さい祠が 祀られており、「お室屋敷」とか「警護場」と 言われます。更に 北に四段の狭い平坦地が有ります。狭い通路の奥に 角張った 瓢箪型Hyoutan-gataの狭い平坦地が 有り、北側の平坦地には 穴が 掘られています。一番奥の平坦地に 荒神社が 祀られています。お室屋敷の西から 一段、所により２段の細長い犬走り状の 平坦地が巡り、先の墓場で終わります。 The another name for Toba-jyou/castle are Tobayama-jyou and Matoyama-jyou    The ruins of Toba-jyou is located western mountain of 1545 Kurotuti-Tuji-yasiki    It is said that this castle was a branch castle of Yagura-jyou “N34.50.50E133.41.53”　It is said that 「Akiba-yama/mountain where is intermediate point between Toba-jyou and Yagura-jyou, namely it is located south of Toba-jyou, and  ruins of Akibayama-jyou is on the top of the mountain, but there is no remnants of ruins of castle on the mountain」   It is called Mato-yama/mountain “target-mountain”, because an expert archer practiced far shot from Tuji-yasiki “1543 KrotutiｰTuji-ysasiki” 　toward the mountain in the past    The northern side, eastern side and western side of this mountain are precipitous cliffs, and south side continued to Yagura-jyou   There is a way from the water works toward the entrance of the castle-area, as soon as you pass the entrance, there is a flat land of a low stone wall and the back is a graveyard    The area of the castle extend from northwest to southeast, next, there is a flatland “the main closure, the top of the mountain” surrounded with a about 3m-cliff    Two flat lands which are not very wide, are on the lower-south of the enclosure, there is a belt like flat land with a flat land on the lower-right of the two flatland, there is a dry moat in the back of that, the south side of the moat is a wide flat land called Omuro-yasiki or Keigo-ba “guard place”    A small shrine is enshrined on the center of Omuro-yasiki, and the four step flat lands with thin paths are beyond the north side    There is an angular gourd‐shaped narrow flatland on the back of the thin path     A hole is dug on the southern flat land, a Kojin-sya/shrine is enshrined on the innermost flatland    One step or two step berm start from east of Omuro-yasiki and end at the graveyard    The place names of Banda ”guard house”, Kajiya “sword smith”, Matoba “target area”, Kokoro “path to the castle entrance”, Toba etc. are remained 　

鳥羽城跡に行くには 高梁御津線（３１号線線）を 湯山から吉備中央町賀陽庁舎方向に進みます。すると 新町の手前に 黒土北線（３０５号線）の納地に 向かう道が有り、川沿いに地蔵が立っています。納地に向かい、的場を過ぎる当たりで Ｙ字型に 道が 分岐します。右を選び 南に登り 空公会堂を過ぎると 黒土行藤1184番地付近に出ます。上側の分岐を進むと 大きく右にカーブした後 Ｙ字路に出るので、左に大きく廻り 目標として水道施設を目指します。番田 鍛冶屋 的場 小古露Kokoro 鳥羽等の地名が 残されています。 If you go from Yuyama to  the Kibityuuou-tyou-Kayo government building ear Route 31, there is a road toward the Nouti on Route 305 in front of Sinmati, a stone stature of Jizo-bosatu “Kshitigarbha” stands along the river   The road branches into a Y-shape at the point where pass by Matoba    Choose the right path and climb toward the south, after the Sora-koukai-dou ”public hall“, you will react to the vicinity of 1184 Kurotuti-Yukihuji    If you choose the upper branch and go, after the way curves toward the right, you will reach to the Y-shaped road    If you turn toward the left widely , go along the way to the water works facilities as the target , you will reach the entrance   大門：黒土２３５－２３７番地　馬場前：黒土８６７番地    鳥羽ノ鼻：黒土９１４－９２７・９３２－９３７・９５６番地    鍛冶屋：黒土１２６３（北緯34度51分8秒・東経133度42分7秒）番地等    ココロ：黒土１０５５番地（北緯34度51分9秒・東経133度42分4秒）等    コゴロ：黒土１３９１・１３９４・１４２５・１４２８・１６２３・１６２９番地    鳥羽山：黒土１１４７・１１４８・１１５４・１１６６番地    的場：黒土１５１７番地（北緯34度51分26秒・東経133度42分0秒）等    コゴロ田：黒土１４６３番地　番田：黒土１１０７－１１０９番地     辻屋敷：１４２９・１４６５番地等   　平成２４年（２０１２年）４月９日
