細田渋里１378番地の東南東　正確ではないのですが 北緯34度53分39秒・東経133度47分7秒付近が「妙見山城跡」で 現在は 久保田神社（細田天津神社）が建 ちます。 標高約４２０m 本高さ２０mの丘で 城地の広さは 東西約７０m×南北約１０mです。久保田神社の本殿の側の円墳は 城主の墓とされます。丘の頂部が 主郭と思われます。主郭の南西側に 堀切が１条、北側に主郭を取り巻くような横堀 ３条と竪堀２条があります。それぞれの堀の深さ は １５㎝～５０cm程度です。The ruins of Myoukanzan-jyou/castle are located on  the east‐south of 1378 Hosoda -Siburi   Kubota-jinjya/shrine is built in this space and the dry moat remain currently　 It is said that the round burial mound near the inner shrine of Kubota-jinja is the grave of the lord of this castle

その昔、吉備津彦命が ここにいた怪物を 弓で射たという伝説があります。化気神社 鷺の巣温泉にも  同じような鬼退治の話が 伝えられています。吉備津彦命は 吉備中央町のあちこちで 侵略戦争をしたようです。この辺りは 銅や砂鉄が豊富な所だったからでしょうか。渋里の「しぶ」と言う地名は 鉄や雲母等の鉱物が むき出しになっている地に 付けられます。隣地に 雲母の地名があり、雲母を 露天掘りしていたと言われます。能勢常陸介が 城主の頃は 虎倉城時代です。浪人をしていた能勢常陸介が 毛利氏の臣下になり、肥前国の城主と成りました。その後 備前に入り、伊賀兵庫頭の時 ２千貫を払い 妙見山城主となって、虎倉城落城まで 居城したとされます。松田氏の臣とする意見もありますが、周囲の小城が 全て伊賀氏方なので、状況から推測し この説には無理が有ります。しかし この頃の伊賀氏は 松田氏の家老職に就いていましたので、伊賀氏傘下の将を 松田氏の臣と表現する事は あながち間違いではありません。「加茂川の山城」「加茂川町史」「村人口伝」 

 An interesting legend that Kibituhiko-no-mikoto shot agenst an ogre “an enemy of the Yamato imperial court namely the local people”  who lived in,  with bow and arrow in long‐ago days , has been handed down in this district    The legends of chasing out ogres has been handed down in Kegi-jinjya/shrine and Saginosu-onsen/hot sprig too    Because this area was rich in copper and mica, Kibituhiko-no-mikoto must have been carried on war of aggression here and there in Kibityuou-tyou/town probably    The land name of Sibu of Siburi “village of Sibu” in Hosoda is given frequently to area where the minerals exposed to the earth's surface   There are name of Unmo ” mica” on adjoining land where mica obtained by strip mining formerly    It is said that 「The lord of this castle was Hitati-no-suke Nose in the times Kokura-jyou  “Hisataka Iga lived in”    Hitati-no-kami Nose who lost his employment, served as a liege subject of Mouri clan and became the lord of Higo-no-kuni/provinceand became the lord of Higo-no-kuni/province     Thereafter, he came to Bizen-no-kuni/province and he became the lord of Myuokenzan-jyou obtained by purchasing for 2000kan “１貫kan in the age of civil ｗars≒１０万円one hundred thousand yen in the present・2018” from Hyougo-no-kami Iga who was the lord of Kokura-jyou, and he lived in the castle to the fall of Kokura-jyou “the lord was Iehisa Iga who was a son of Hisataka Iga who was killed by Naoie Ukita with toxin in1581” 」   Although someone suggest that he was a vassal of Matuda clan, this suggestion is unreasonable, but because all neighboring castles are branch castle of Kokura-jyou , and in that time Kokura-jyou was a branch castle of Kanagawa-jyou which Mototeru Matuda lived in , It is not a mistake necessarily that he regard as a vassal of Matuda clan

小高くなっている城地に 建つ久保田神社には 狸が祀ってあります。南蛮渡りの 牛馬の守護神であるキュウモウ狸（魔法様）か と思いましたが、近所の人は「キュウモウの孫達であろう」と言います。神社の前の小堂に穴が 空いていて、油揚げが 置いてある事がありますので、小堂に祀られる神のお守りは狐でしょう。久保田神社を参詣すると 勝負ごとに強くなると言われ、選挙の候補者が 良く訪れるそうです。キュウモウは 勝負の神の摩利支天の化身ともされます。それで 魔法様と呼ばれるのでしょう。Tanuki “raccoon dog” is enshrined in Kubota Shrine, which was built on the castle area where is slightly elevated hill    I thought it was a Kyumou raccoon dog “Mr. Mahou” who came to Japan from across the sea, the guardian deity of cow horses。But Neighbors say that they're Kyumou's grandchildren'   There is a hole in the hall in front of the shrine, and because Abra-ages “fried tofus” is offered in the hole sometimes, the god's messenger enshrined in the small shrine may be the fox    As it is said that if you visit　Kubota-jinjya/shrine, you will become to be a good hand at all games    So, during election season the candidates visit this shrine, because it is said that Kyuumou is a incarnation of Marisi-ten who is a Buddhist goddess of self-protection, victory and better-fortune   Due to that, the transformable raccoon dogs "kesyou-tanuki" named Kyuumou is called Mahou-sama " Esq.Mahou Ma mean Marisi-ten and Hou mean the teachings of Buddha：absolute truth"    M：Marisi-ten　hou：power of Buddhism 　妙見：１３６２・１３７７（シブリ・１３７８番地：北緯34度53分42秒・東経133度47分2秒）・１３９６番地　明見：細田１３７２番地　妙見山：細田１３９１・１６４７番地 等　　平成２４年（２０１２年）５月１１日
