即ち 豊岡川左岸で 合田川と合流する場所の北西側に当たります。標高 凡そ２６０ ｍの山頂部です。豊岡 川沿いの東・南・北面を見張らせます。 高は約 ８０ ｍです。城域は東西 凡そ３００ ｍ、南北 凡そ１３０ ｍです。東寄りの頂上部の 目通し約８０ ｍ×４０ ｍの大きな曲輪が 主郭です。 山頂の尾根は 東に延び、二つの頂を形成します。曲輪は 東下へ緩やかに 傾斜しています。主郭の曲輪は 西辺を除いて 帯曲輪３面に 囲まれていて、主郭の曲輪の東端と南西側には 最上段の帯曲輪に出られる 虎口があります。中 段の帯曲輪の北東端と南東端 櫓台跡があります。東に向き突出した平坦地を伴います。北東端の櫓台跡と思われる平坦地は 凡そ１０ ｍ×１０mの方形、南東隅の櫓台と思われる平坦地 は 凡そ15 ｍ× 10 ｍの半円形をしています。最下段の帯曲輪から始まる急峻 な斜面部の 東斜面から南斜面等にかけて 計 27 本の竪堀があり 畝状竪堀群を形成しています。主郭の曲輪の西端には２条のしっかりした空堀があります。この中央の連続した2条の空堀以西には 頂部に 幅の小さい台形型の曲輪と 南北と北側の斜面に 帯曲輪があり、南北の斜面部の帯曲輪の下方に 複数の空堀があります。頂部西端及び西側の頂部東端は 鞍部になっていて 現在は作業道に改造されています。西側の頂部には ４０ ｍ× １５ ｍの曲輪があり、その西端は 幅 約７ｍの空堀で仕切られています。上加茂合戦の時、大敗した毛利軍が 伊賀久隆の作戦で 蛻の殻となっていたため 逃げ込んだとされます。

加茂川町の山城には「豊岡の谷の中央付近で、川の北側が親城、南側が出城の面城です。元亀元年～２年（1570～1571年）尼子氏が築城し、松田氏 伊賀氏に継ぎ、大永年中（1521～1528年）毛利方の将の菱川左京の子の菱川与次郎 菱川神五郎 菱川与兵衛 菱川源四郎等が 城主となりました。小森城の菱川左京は 与次郎の父です。参考ですが、池田國光の家来に 菱川を名乗る者がおります。あるいは　松田氏傘下 菱川右京亮（三村家親に従い月田合戦に参加）が城主と思われます　小森から江与美を通り 美作に向かう交通の要所で、戦略的に重要な位置をなしています」との趣旨がに書かれています。毛利の将との記述が 有りますが、当時の伊賀氏は 毛利氏の麾下にありましたので 与四郎等が伊賀氏の将であっても あながち 間違いと言えまません。なぜなら「百坂城城主 菱川右京の長男の菱川与四郎、小森城主 右京の次男の菱川与九郎は 伊賀方の武将」とされます。上加茂合戦の頃は、伊賀方の城であったと推測します。 Ruins of Tune-Eda-jyou/castle are located on the northern mountain of 576 Toyooka-simo-Hunabori-simo     The another names for Tuneeda-jyou areToyooka-jyou and Oote-yama-jyou     It is said that in Kamigamo-gassen/battle a part of Mouri force's soldiers ran away into this castle where became completely empty by the tactics of Hisataka Iga    The gist is written in［加茂川町の山城・mountain castle in Kamogawa city］that「This castle are located on the center area of valley in Toyooka , Oyaziro “parental castle” is located on northern side of the river, the branch castle named Men-ziro/castle is located on southern side of the river    This castle was built by Amago clan in 1570～1471 and was passed to Matuda clan and Iga clan during Einen (1570～1528)    Yosirou Hisikawa who was a son of Sakyou Hisikawa of Mouri’s commander, Jingorou Hisikawa, Yohei Hisikawa , Gensirou Hisikawa etc. were the lords of the castle    Sakyou Hisikawa who was the lord of Komori-jyou is Yosirou’s father　A man given Hisikawa's name was in a follower of Kunimitu Ikeda   Or it is considered that Ukyou-no-suke Hisikawa who was 麾下 ”kika・subordinate” of Matuda clan, was lord of the castle    This castle located on traffic important position from Komori via Eyomi to Mimasaka and strategic important position」 There are a description that Sakyou Hisikawa of Mouri’s commander, but this description is not wrong necessarily, even if Yosirou etc. were Iga‘s commander　Because Iga clan was Kika of Mouri’s clan at that time　It is written in above book that It is said that Yosirou Hisikawa who is the first son of Ukyou Hisikawa "the lord of Komori-jyou" and Yokurou who is the second son are Iga‘s commanders　We estimate that this castle is a castle of Iga clan's side at Kamigamo-gassen

豐岡上小森線（３７１号線）の新青木橋と岩崎橋の中央付近を 北に九十九に上ると、変則６差路の峠の踊り場状の所に出ます。右に折れる２本の道の内  北側の道を行くと 常江田城跡に向います。最初の頂上の平坦地の樹木に囲まれた所に、灯明用の石製のグロがあります。奥の平坦地は 複雑で 土塁様の構造が 見られます。 頂上を過ぎ 東に進むと 左手に 墓場が有り、右手は 急斜面となり、斜面の下に  広い平坦地があります。中腹に小社が ２社 建っています。

 左手の墓場の横を 東に進むと、比較的平坦な尾根が下り、深く切り取られた堀切（切岸）が有り、朽ちかけた橋が 架かっています。更に 東に進むと ２条の堀切が並び、その東に 高い崖が 有ります。強引に 登ると 山の頂上に当たる 広大な平坦地に出ます。周囲は 犬走りに 囲まれ、犬走りは 数段有ります。頂上の平坦地のほぼ中央に 一社宮があり、祇園宮神と魔利支天大神が 祀られています。この地が 常江田城の主郭です。 Go toward the north in zig zag from near the middle point of Shin-Aoki-basi/bridge and Iwasaki-basi on Route 371, you will reach to the pass with the irregular junction of six roads where seems a landing   Go along the northern side road of the two roads that turns to the right, you will reach to ruins of Tune-Eda-jyou/castle    On the way, there is a Isi-gro “small room made with arranged stones” at the place surrounded by trees in the flat land on the first top    The flat land where are the back of the Isi-guro is complex, there are the structures seemed earth wall   If you past the top, and  go toward the east, here is a grave yard on the left    The right hand side becomes a steep slope and there is a wide flat land under the slope    There are two small shrines on the middle height of the steep slope　 If you go around the grave yard on your left, go toward the East and go down along relatively flat ridge, there is a deeply cutting moat (cut bank), and a decaying bridge is built over it     If you go further toward the  east over the Horikiri ”dry moat” of running side-by-side 2 lines  There is a high cliff on the east side    If you climb it forcefully, you will reach a vast flat land where is the second top of the mountain where is ruins of the citadel    A artificial trench dug  widely and deeply are the most west side of the citadel and a crumbling bridge is built across the trench    The two artificial trenches are side and side at the eastern side of the first trench    There is high artificial wall as cliff at the east    Upside of the cliff is broad flatlands with surrounding some inubasiris “narrow passage at slope・Obiguruwa・beltlike compound ”  Gods of Gion-guu/shrine and Marisi-ten-no-ookami are enshrined at the center　斜面の社（祇園神社）：北緯34度55分1秒・東経133度47分1秒    最初に頂上：北緯34度54分58秒・東経133度46分51秒     墓場：北緯34度54分59秒・東経133度46分54秒    頂上の社：北緯34度54分59秒・東経133度47分２秒   鳥居場：豊岡下３６５・３７２－３７７・３９３－３９７・７７６番地　太鼓場：豊岡下４６６・４７１・４９５番地    城山：豊岡下６２８・７２７番地等　大手下：豊岡下６３６番地　大手下タ：豊岡下６４８番地　大手：豊岡下６３７・６４７番地等　大手上：豊岡下６３８番地　丸町：豊岡下６６３番地　合田：豊岡下６９１・１４５４番地等　城ノ乢：豊岡下７２８番地　合田：合田kouta/goudaはetaとも 読め穢多etaの転訛では ないでしょうか    近くに「江田」の地名は ありません    上加茂合戦に 穢多村が 登場しますが  合田の事かも知れません。穢多村は 各地にあったと 思われます。穢多の付く地名は 明治の頃に廃止され歴史から消されたと思われます   上加茂合戦に登場する 穢多村を 特定しようと 村の古老達を 訪ね回りました   百々集落の辺りだと言う者がいましたが 詳細な位置は分かりませんでしたし 上加茂合に登場する穢多村かどうか 解りませんでした   江戸時代には 士農工商「https://www.weblio.jp/content/士農工商」非人「https://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/非人」穢多「https://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/穢多」の身分制度があったとされますが、実際にはそのような身分制度はなかった「https://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/士農工商」ようです    後に非人や穢多は 蔑まれますが 徳川幕府初期には 統治者の監視が最も緩やかで、逆に武士や農民は厳しく監視されました    天下人となった豊臣秀吉「https://bookmeter.com/books/4917045」も徳川家康「www.asyura2.com/12/cult10/msg/788.html」も 非人 あるいは 穢多出身であったとする意見もあります。      平成２３年（２０１１年）７月１２日
