下加茂の梅原橋（下加茂梅原出張818-1番地の南）の北西 谷口橋の西北西 北緯34度51分7秒・東経133度48分1秒付近が「大手城跡」（標高約１７０m 高さ役３０m）で 城地の広さは　東西約８０m×南北約１０mです。郭 堀 石垣を残します。鍋谷城の主郭の曲輪より ３５０ ｍ程下った所の 張り出すよう尾根には、狭い平坦面が ３か所あり、その一つが 大手城跡です。これ等の平坦地の内の 山塊から なだらかになる所の 西側の平坦面は 約１４ ｍ×約５ｍで、大手城の主郭跡で 石垣を伴う社が 祀られています。尾根の東側には, 約７m×約３mの平坦地が２面あり、両平坦地の間は 馬の鞍状の地形になっています。これら３面の平坦地か 東西が良く見渡せるので 大手城は 鍋谷城の見張り台の役目を 担ったのでしょう、城主は 河原新太郎です。 梅原団地と 梅原公会堂のほぼ中間地点の 下加茂梅原出張i818-1番地の民家に向かうと 宇甘川を渡る梅原橋があります。民家の前の畑の畔を 左（西）に 数ｍ行くと 山に向かう小道があり、小道は直ぐに 分岐し左手に 小社群があります。右手の急坂の 不規則に石が階段状に 配置されている所を過ぎると 小社群から９０ｍ程の所に 石垣が見えます。石垣の上の平坦地が 大手城跡です。神様が お留守になった 荒れた小社が建っています。この平坦地は とても狭く 鍋谷城に上る 踊り場的存在です。鍋谷城の出城（大手門・砦）とされ、鍋谷城の大手に当たるので この名が付いているのでしょう。この平坦地の南東側は なだらかな山肌で 岩が所々に集められています。恐らくこの辺りも 大手城の城地でしょう。

城地の小社には 祇園様が 祀られていましたが、2011年現在では 先程の橋の袂の民家の西の麓に 移されています。鍋山城 鍋谷城の項目を参照してください。  The ruins of Oote-jyou/castle are located on the northwest of Umebara-basi/bridge & the west-northwest of Taniguti-basi  “near Ｎ34・51・7 E133・48・1”　At present, only a small amount of structural remnants including a part of enclosure, moat and stone walls are remained there    The lord of this castle was Sintarou Kawara　There is the 818-1 Simogamo -Umebara-deppari where is about intermediate point between Umebara housing complex and Umebara public hall    If you go up to the left (west) on the side of the field in front of the private house for a few meters, there is a mountain path, and the narrow path branches immediately, and there is a small shrines group on the left hand side    If you pass the place where the stones are arranged irregularly like the stairs on the steep slope where was the right hand,  viz. at the point about 90m from the small shrines group, you will see the stone wall    The flat land on the stone wall are the ruins of Oote-jyou/castle    This flat land is very narrow and seem a landing place that goes up to Nabetani-jyou    Because it is considered to be a branch castle “Ootemon fort” of Nabetani-jyou and it is equivalent to Oote-mon “main gate” of Nabetani-jyou, the castle must have been named after Oote“Oote-jyou”     The southeast side of this flat land is a gentle mountain surface, and rocks are collected in some places    I think this area was also the site of the castle too probably   There is a old rumbling small shrine which the god was transferred to west side of the private house in the Gion-guu/ shrine　Please refer to Nabetani-jyou and Nabeyama-jyou      平成２４年（２０１２年）５月２６日
